Guided visit to the exhibition
Cristina Branquinho, coordinator of the exhibition "Variações Naturais - Uma Viagem pelas Paisagens de Portugal", will guide all participants on an impossible journey. In 1200m2 they will get to know the main Portuguese ecosystems through an immersive experience in which all senses will be summoned.
The exhibition is divided into ten main areas corresponding to ten ecosystems: urban, mountainous, forest (including forest, montado and steppe), limestone massifs (including caves), aquatic systems (fast water, slow water, marsh), estuary, sandy coast, rocky coast, oceans and island ecosystems, with a focus on the Azores and Madeira. The exhibition areas are defined by combining scenographic structures, photography, video and audio with specimens and biological models of over 140 species. Throughout the exhibition the Natural Parks and other protected areas where each ecosystem is found are identified on maps.
Sign up for this visit and start a walk that will take you among plants, animals and fossils, listening to legends and discovering relationships between species, people and landscapes. Capacity is limited to 15 participants.
